Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled HVAC maintenance technician to join our team at Dixie Electric, Plumbing, & Air in Columbus, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems for residential and commercial customers.
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Travel to job sites and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business, such as newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.

Requirements:

  • A current EPA certification and state registration.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC program preferred.
  • 2-3 years of residential HVAC experience with a strong focus on customer service.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in small spaces.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills for HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, physical, motor vehicle record check, and background check.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
