Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Dixie Electric, Plumbing, & Air. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for residential and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and commercial customers.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Travel to job sites in our service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify, report, and educate customers on potential opportunities for additional business, such as newer systems, service contracts, and additional services.

Requirements:

  • A current EPA certification and state registration are required. Nate certification and state certification are a plus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of residential HVAC experience with a strong focus on customer service. Preferred experience of over 5 years in HVAC.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in small spaces.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills for HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair of systems and equipment.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, physical, motor vehicle record check, and background check.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States are required.
  • Possess a passion for helping others and present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times.
