About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Business Development Leader to drive sales, expand markets, and ensure the company achieves its financial objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team and cross-functional departments to build a robust pipeline, cultivate key partnerships, and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends to shape the future of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes that increase revenue, expand markets, and achieve financial targets.
- Review and understand proposals and pitch presentations.
- Maintain a wide network of industry contacts to stay informed on market dynamics, emerging trends, and future opportunities.
- Manage the sales cycle from inquiry to acquisition and create systems for nurturing prospects throughout all stages.
- Plan and systematically target, engage, and convert high-quality prospects.
- Oversee day-to-day marketing activities and partner on initiatives to develop future strategies.
- Importing, sorting, and exporting lead lists to the Sales team.
- Conduct research and analysis on competitors, customer needs, and the business environment to inform product development, pricing strategies, and business models.
- Network with potential clients and represent the company at industry events.
- Develop written content for proposals, collateral, RFI & RFPs, presentations, etc.
- Identify and evaluate new markets, business partners, channels, and customers to expand the company's footprint.
- Track and solicit updates on opportunities and clients, reporting regularly.
- Implement and refine internal processes to ensure optimal close rates.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development, preferably in the trade show/event industry.
- A thorough understanding of PR, advertising, and digital marketing landscapes.
- Proven ability to lead, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Advertising, Finance, or a related field.
