About the Role

Join Sysco, a leading food distribution company, as a Product Support Advisor in our Long Island Home Office. This exciting opportunity offers a dynamic and challenging role that requires exceptional customer service skills, strategic thinking, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Management: Execute Category Management initiatives within assigned categories to achieve company goals.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with operation company (OpCo) sales staff on product assortment updates, informational inquiries, and delivery of product cutting and training sessions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to minimize DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain positive local supplier relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment.
Skills and Abilities
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Negotiation: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and brokers.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
