Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist, you will assist physicians in conducting magnetic resonance imaging procedures.

We are a remarkable team that collaborates to support one another, and we are looking for an exceptional addition who shares our passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for reviewing and completing necessary documentation for each patient, including exams, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
  • You will transport patients to and from their rooms and the emergency room.
  • You will monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
  • You will explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxieties and ensure cooperation.
  • You will position patients on the examination table and adjust immobilization devices to achieve optimal imaging of the specified body area as requested by the physician.
  • You will collaborate as a team member to meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Technologist program is required.
  • Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
  • CT registry is preferred.
  • MRI registry is required within 6 months from the date of hire for MRI registry-eligible candidates.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital imaging department is required.
  • 1 year of experience in CT or MRI is preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
