About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer to join our team at Houston Methodist West Hospital. As a key member of our direct patient care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce proper policies and procedures for day-to-day magnetic resonance (MR) safety
  • Collaborate with department leadership, MRI physicist, and Medical Director to implement protocols and objectives
  • Participate in relevant committees or groups responsible for personnel safety and welfare
  • Use peer-to-peer accountability towards department goals for retention and employee engagement
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s)
  • Three years' experience as an MRI Technologist
  • ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, or CMRT certification
  • MRSO certification within one year
  • BLS certification
