We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Memorial MRI & Diagnostic. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in capturing high-quality images to aid in patient diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician.
- Prepare and operate MRI equipment, selecting software options and imaging parameters as needed.
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and position them correctly for diagnostic imaging.
- Monitor patient condition before and after the scan to ensure safety and comfort.
- Enforce magnetic field safety for patients, operators, and visitors.
- Maintain patient log, equipment service manual, delivery schedule, and related statistics.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Current license as a Radiological Technology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Fonar upright experience.
- Ability to stay on feet throughout the workday and manipulate table straps.
- Ability to lift MRI coils (10-40 lbs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
