Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Full-time Lead Teacher to join our team at the YMCA of Central Stark County. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators in providing a high-quality educational program for young preschoolers (2.5 - 3.5 years old).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of educators in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and promotes social skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program that meets the needs of all children.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure they are meeting the needs of children and adhering to YMCA standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or higher in education or related field or CPL level 3 or above.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma/GED (required).
  • Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning & conducting assessments.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.
