Position: SAP S4HANA FICO Consultant

Location: Remote


Position Summary:

The SAP S4HANA FICO Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the FICO and GR modules. This role includes:

  • Managing production support requests and adhering to established service level agreements.
  • Diagnosing and escalating complex SAP-related issues to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Analyzing functional area challenges and developing suitable solutions.
  • Gathering requirements, identifying gaps, and crafting effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting (AA), and CO-PA.
  • Proficient in New GL and Document Split functionalities.
  • Handling Automatic Payments utilizing DMEE, XML, and iDocs.
  • Managing Revenue Recognition processes.
  • Understanding Taxation on sales and purchases.
  • Familiarity with third-party taxation tools such as Sabrix, Taxware, or Vertex.
  • Knowledge of Withholding Tax processes.
  • Expertise in Intercompany processes through EDI-IDocs.
  • Experience with interfaces and their development.
  • Understanding of Bank Communication protocols.
  • Managing Lockbox and Electronic Bank Statements.
  • Integrating with Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Project Systems (PS) modules.
  • Working with IDocs and local GAAP reporting using special purpose ledgers.
  • Conducting foreign currency valuation and translation.
  • Overseeing the period-end closing process.
  • Managing Credit Card processes.
  • Handling Collection, Dispute, and Credit Management.
  • Working in a multi-currency global environment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in SAP FICO, including comprehensive project implementations.
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4 HANA FICO.
  • Experience in AR, AP, New GL, AA, and CO-PA.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading teams of 6 or more.
  • Prior experience managing both onsite and offshore teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in technology-driven environments.
  • Background in Asset Accounting Management, Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM), Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), FI-CA, BRF+, and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR).
  • Experience in the retail sector.
  • Familiarity with complex IT landscapes with multiple heterogeneous systems.
  • Ability to debug ABAP code.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, particularly ASAP.
  • SAP Certification in FICO is a plus.
