Job Description

Job Summary:

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a highly skilled Intelligence Analyst to provide all-source analytic support to Defense, Service, and military customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, interpreting, forecasting, and explaining national security issues and developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide all-source analytic support to Defense, Service, and military customers
  • Contribute to Defense Intelligence Enterprise deliverables, including foundational assessments, warning reports, technical briefings, and other analytic documents
  • Collaborate with the Intelligence Community, Defense Department, national labs, and academia to address foreign adversary and threat issues
  • Provide guidance to less experienced staff, review the work of others, and authoritatively contribute to multi-functional analytic teams
  • Understand and articulate official government analytic positions during customer engagements and represent Defense Intelligence Enterprise analytic units as directed

Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree and tangible intelligence analysis experience
  • + years of experience with intelligence analysis, including employing multi-INT databases to develop analytic assessments and briefings
  • Working familiarity with established Intelligence Community directives, standards, and tradecraft documents
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses at a level comprehensible to diverse military audiences and senior-level government representatives
  • Ability to clearly express in writing technical analysis results and program characterizations
  • Familiarity with intelligence cycle processes and outcomes and ability to enhance intelligence cycle functioning with tailored all-source support
  • Experience providing all-source intelligence support to military planning, operations, and exercise efforts
  • Understanding of the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, DIA, and Service intelligence production centers
  • Experience responding to and effectively answering requests for intelligence/information (RFI)
  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree and/or specialized Intelligence Community-related training(s)
  • Military or defense-related experience and working familiarity with strategies, policies, and plans that enable defense against CBRN threats and prevent the proliferation of WMD
  • Experience effectively devising, utilizing, and communicating methodological approaches to complex problem sets
  • Knowledge of state nuclear, biological, and/or chemical (NBC) programs, strategic weapons developments, and WMD-related proliferation and procurement
  • Proficiency with network analysis tools (Analyst Notebook, Palantir, etc.) and methodologies
