Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist at HonorHealth, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare system. Under the direction of a radiologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing your expertise and technical skills to ensure accurate and efficient imaging results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including CT scans, using independent judgment and initiative.
  • Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, and imaging site.
  • Transport patients to and from the exam room, assisting them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
  • Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reactions as needed.
  • Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and other image management systems as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow for the department's activities.
  • Maintain equipment in efficient operating order, performing and documenting quality control testing.
  • Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of general radiology experience via employment or training required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required.
  • AZ Certified CT Technologist (CTCT) and Temporary license acceptable at time of hire required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and licensure required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
