About the Role

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic MRI procedures under the direction of a radiologist, utilizing independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Assume responsibility for tasks and procedures as assigned, including data entry operations using hospital software packages.
  • Provide coverage at various locations within the network, as required.
  • Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and MRI eligibility.
  • Protocol procedures with radiologists as needed, and transport patients to and from the exam room using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
  • Perform MRI procedures, observing patients during the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort, and administer contrast materials as required.
  • Initiate emergency responses to contrast reactions as needed, and obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and other image management systems as needed, and assist in coordinating daily workflow for the department's activities.
  • Maintain equipment in efficient operating order, perform and document quality control testing, and contact service for repair and maintenance as directed.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed, and maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months of MR experience via employment or training required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required, with one of the following: ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, or U.S. military Radiology General Procedures training program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
