About the Role

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist. As a key member of our Network Float Pool, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing your expertise in CT imaging to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including CT scans, under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, and imaging site.
  • Transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
  • Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reaction as needed.
  • Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow for the department's activities.
  • Maintain equipment in efficient operating order and perform required quality control testing.
  • Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • More than 10 months of on-the-job clinical CT or 1 year of general radiology experience required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required.
  • AZ Certified CT Technologist (CTCT) and a Temporary license acceptable at the time of hire required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure must be provided prior to start date required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
