About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at HonorHealth. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic MRI procedures under the direction of a radiologist, utilizing independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and MRI eligibility.
  • Transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
  • Administer contrast materials as required and initiate emergency response to contrast reaction as needed.
  • Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation as required by MRI procedure protocols.
  • Utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
  • Assist in coordination of daily workflow for the department's activities.
  • Maintain equipment in efficient operating order and perform and document all required quality control testing.
  • Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned area.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months of MRI experience via employment or training required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
  • One of the following certifications required prior to start date: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) or U.S. military Radiology General Procedures training program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
