Business Development Manager

At DTE Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and creating value in structuring development transactions around Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS).
Key Responsibilities- Drive origination of CCS opportunities across the US, with a focus on the Midwest
- Responsible for overall commercial leadership for CCS projects including external relationship management, commercial negotiations, contract negotiations, internal resource management
- Responsible for obtaining internal approvals for development projects, including at the Executive and Board of Directors level
- Identify bolt-on value creation opportunities to existing CCS projects
- Identify key strategic issues in advancing the CCS opportunity set for DTE Vantage
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering, business, or economics discipline (emphasis in finance a plus) with a minimum five years of experience with an independent energy company, or alternatively, a consulting firm or investment bank focused on energy
- CCS experience in an academic or commercial setting
- Possess a broad range of financial and commercial skills, be capable of managing the details of complex transactions
- A Master of Business Administration
- Ability to identify value-creation opportunities
- Possess a commercial background and be familiar with all aspects of structuring commercial transactions in the energy industry and in negotiations of the related commercial and financial agreements
- Possess strong project management skills
- Possess excellent modeling skills and experienced in valuation methodologies and financial disciplines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation skills, including advanced PowerPoint ability
