Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Tenet Healthcare Corporation. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient registration and scheduling services, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the patient journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Complete accurate and timely patient registration, including demographic data collection, insurance verification, and financial clearance.
  • Customer Service: Provide world-class customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Financial Clearance: Ensure accurate and efficient financial clearance processes, including patient liability collection and cash reconciliation.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Medical Necessity Checks: Conduct medical necessity checks and verifications in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 0-1 year in a customer service role; 0-1 year administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in PC/CRT/printer; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance regulations.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a hospital administration setting, with potential exposure to life-threatening patient conditions. You must be available to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands.
