We are in search of a dedicated professional who will play a vital role in enhancing and supporting the Supply Planning & Inventory Division within our Supply Chain Department.

The Inventory Control Supervisor will focus on optimizing inventory levels while reducing carrying expenses. This role emphasizes financial analysis related to inventory, including valuation techniques such as ABC analysis, stockout rates, and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ).

Within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) framework, this position is crucial for evaluating healthy inventory levels, turnover rates, and overall performance. It involves analyzing various facets of inventory management, including stock levels, carrying costs, turnover ratios, and the management of obsolete or slow-moving stock.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing the company's inventory status by scrutinizing inventory statistics to identify product health and trends (e.g., material obsolescence, excess stock, slow-moving items).
  • Conducting financial analyses of inventory to assess performance impacts, identifying top-selling products and those that are underperforming.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and overall business performance, generating regular reports for management.
  • Assisting the Supply Planning & Inventory Manager in making informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Analyzing inventory at risk and communicating recommendations for improvements in inventory control to management.
  • Managing and analyzing inventory databases and systems to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Driving enhancements in data integrity, developing robust and agile reporting mechanisms, and simplifying processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excel proficiency required: Ability to handle large datasets using spreadsheets, graphs, data tables, calculations, and automation to deliver results.
  • Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence systems is essential; familiarity with Advanced Planning Systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in French is a plus.
