Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative is a vital member of the Palomar Health team, serving as the first point of contact for patients and families. This role requires a high level of customer service, communication, and organizational skills to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet and check in patients, manage patient flow, and maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling and Registration: Schedule appointments, register patients, and verify insurance information to ensure accurate billing and payment.
  • Communication: Answer phones, respond to messages, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare and file patient forms, manage patient records, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer software and systems.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
