Patient Services Specialist
Position Overview
This role is essential for ensuring the efficient management of patient flow within the clinic.

The individual will act as the primary liaison for patients, tasked with organizing appointments, preparing necessary documentation prior to patient visits, welcoming patients, and maintaining accurate records.

Furthermore, this position entails handling billing for clinic services, submitting insurance claims, addressing inquiries from patients and insurance providers, and managing related departmental information. Responsibilities may also include cash handling duties.


Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate surgeries and procedures for a multi-specialty surgical clinic.
- Schedule appointments for new, follow-up, or discharged patients.
- Collect, confirm, and input all relevant information into the Electronic Medical Record before patient visits.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to patient appointments.
- Secure referrals through insurance companies when necessary.
- Prepare patient charts in advance of visits.
- Provide patients with information regarding surgical procedures and estimated costs, concluding their visit effectively.

Qualifications Required
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Customer Service, office management, or a related field.
- Additional educational qualifications may substitute for the experience requirement.
