Clinical Navigator for Surgical Care

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Advanced Pain Care is seeking a dedicated Surgical Care Coordinator/Clinical Navigator to enhance our expanding organization. This role focuses on assisting patients through the complexities of spinal cord stimulation and related technologies. The Navigator will play a crucial role in helping patients navigate barriers to receiving necessary care and treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professional presentation in both clinical and business settings.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare facilities and operational processes.
- Experience with spinal cord stimulation (STIM) is highly desirable.
- Preferred background as a Device Clinical Specialist.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is required, with preference for Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.
- Prior experience in medical sales is strongly preferred.
- A track record of meeting and exceeding performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate scheduling for pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up appointments related to spinal cord stimulation.
- Conduct follow-up calls and maintain detailed records for patients who have undergone SCS procedures.
- Collaborate with medical device representatives to reconcile weekly case reports.
- Prepare educational materials for patients regarding their procedures.
- Work closely with scheduling and pre-authorization teams for upcoming procedures.
- Reprogram patient devices as needed.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Advanced Pain Care.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

Basic understanding of healthcare organizational operations. Ability to effectively communicate and comprehend verbal instructions. Capable of establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships. Compliance with attendance and educational requirements. Proficient in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks independently. Enthusiastic demeanor with a strong motivation for personal and professional growth within the organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Medical office environment with typical office hours, though some evenings or weekends may be required. Ability to travel to various locations for work-related duties. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
SUPERVISION:
Reports directly to the Director of Neuromodulation.
COMPENSATION:
$70,000 plus performance-based bonuses.
