About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Financial Representative to join our team at Northwestern Mutual. As a Financial Representative, you will have the opportunity to build a client base, educate yourself and others, influence clients to make informed decisions, and take ownership of your business.

Responsibilities
  1. Build Relationships - Develop a client base by growing relationships with your network and staying up-to-date on Northwestern Mutual financial products and market trends.
  2. Educate Yourself and Others - Continuously learn and develop your skills through sponsored licensing and registration, as well as ongoing development. Use proprietary technology, reporting tools, and illustrations to educate clients on potential plans.
  3. Influence Clients - Present clients with opportunities to protect and prosper, and drive them to action through expert perspective, influence, and recommendations.
  4. Own Your Business - Take ownership of development and management of your business, mastering your craft and building a team. Review and maintain client financial plans, providing optimal advice for their needs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Performance-based earnings and revenue (average annual earnings of $70K-$250K; based on 2015-2022 company average for representatives in the first 3 years)

Qualifications
  • 4-year degree; or equivalent professional work experience
  • Entrepreneurial ambitions
  • History of success in relationship-building or client-facing roles
  • Excellent time-management skills

  • Proficient critical thinking and communication competencies
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
