Position Overview: The Smart Building Solutions Sales Executive operates under general supervision, focusing on the promotion and sale of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit services to key decision-makers, including Facility Directors, C-suite executives, and Vice Presidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulate the value proposition of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit projects to building owners and end users, delivering both business and technical solutions.
  • Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with clients within designated accounts and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams, project development engineers, and project leaders to convert leads into contracts, enhancing the overall market share of Johnson Controls.
  • Execute a comprehensive sales process aimed at cultivating and managing enduring relationships while identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities in the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit sector.
  • Persuasively sell Johnson Controls' offerings to building owners at the executive level, ensuring optimal profit margins are achieved.
  • Focus on enhancing existing and new facilities to help clients meet their business objectives.
  • Expand product offerings and service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to new clientele.
  • Achieve a minimum annual revenue target of $5 million in Prime Retrofit sales within assigned markets and accounts while meeting margin expectations.
  • Build strategic relationships with decision-makers to facilitate the sale of Johnson Controls' services.
  • Differentiate Johnson Controls' offerings from competitors through innovative and value-driven sales strategies.
  • Mentor junior Account Executives within the branch to foster their professional development and productivity.
  • Collaborate across various domains to identify and secure Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit opportunities.
  • Concentrate on performance-based agreements in the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit space.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in executive-level sales within the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit domain.
  • Experience in selling advanced analytics and integrated digital solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity and quality in business practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications and various reporting tools, including financial and market share analysis tools (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.
