GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


The Corporate Security Manager is accountable for overseeing all elements of physical security essential for safeguarding the personnel and assets of the organization.

This role includes conducting internal investigations as required.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Implement the corporate security strategy to ensure alignment with the established security objectives outlined in the corporate security framework.
Evaluate adherence to corporate security protocols across various branches and operational centers, providing assistance as needed. Each Corporate Security Manager is tasked with evaluating security measures at branches throughout the region.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations concerning compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws relevant to the role.

Oversee all facets of the physical security program, ensuring the functionality of security devices (video surveillance, alarms, etc.) and access control systems, including vault and building entry.

Provide protection for executive personnel and work to mitigate risks to senior management in line with the security program's goals.

Engage with management and staff from the Electronic Services Division, ATM service providers, and security firms regarding operational and equipment issues, ensuring the security and integrity of electronic payment systems.

Collaborate with both armed and unarmed security personnel, offering guidance to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and objectives.

Respond to security incidents, acting as a liaison between staff and law enforcement authorities.

Deliver training and awareness sessions for branch and headquarters staff on proper protocols for handling security incidents, including travel to various locations for such training.

Conduct interviews and investigations related to workplace violence issues, administering corporate policies concerning such matters.

Assist with internal inquiries regarding employee misconduct, data breaches, and other fraudulent activities.

Travel to potential branch sites to perform preliminary security evaluations, aiding branch management in the site selection process.

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION:

Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interpreting, resolving, and documenting security-related issues, training staff, and performing other relevant tasks.

Must have the manual dexterity to proficiently operate standard office equipment, including computers and financial calculators.


ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:

INTERNAL:
All levels of staff and management.

EXTERNAL:
Visitors, security personnel, vendors, members, local law enforcement, and regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five years in Physical/Corporate Security, Executive Protection, or a related field is required. Experience in financial institution operations and policies is essential. Law enforcement experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Strong communication skills, familiarity with office equipment and software, and interpersonal skills are necessary.

A keen interest in security, loss prevention, and related services is essential, along with a strong ethical foundation and professionalism. The ability to effectively communicate security guidance and prepare clear, concise documentation is crucial.

Strong organizational and time management skills are also required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting may be required, with occasional mobility necessary. Vision and hearing must be within normal ranges, with accommodations provided if needed.
Minimal travel may be required to enhance knowledge and skills in the security field. The ability to respond to security issues promptly is essential, including the use of mobile communication devices.

Occasional extended work hours may be necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.


LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) are preferred.
