Key Responsibilities- Orient new residents to the program, including schedules, rules, and living environment expectations.
- Monitor residents' behavior and activities, facilitating interventions as needed and documenting accordingly.
- Coordinate chores, purchase supplies, and note necessary house repairs.
- Attend staff meetings, participate in client care treatment planning, and transport clients to appointments.
- Respect residents' rights and responsibilities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Adhere to agency policies and procedures regarding confidentiality regulations.
- Attend mandated trainings, enhance knowledge and skills, and support new employee training.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and well-maintained environment for consumers.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to respond calmly to emergency and crisis situations.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, Mandt certifications, and other required trainings.
- Ability to comply with Clients Rights, Mandatory Abuse & Neglect Reporting.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Ability to use E-Mail and document services in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Previous experience in the Behavioral Health field, preferably chemical dependency.
- Knowledge of the disease of addiction, signs and symptoms of impending withdrawal, and early recovery issues.
- Knowledge of treatment resources, including a working knowledge of 12-Step Fellowships.
This position requires working in a residential setting, interacting with clients, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
