Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Wound Care Coordinator - RN. As a key member of our nursing center team, you will be responsible for leading and integrating a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality healthcare and everyday compassion to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program in collaboration with nursing center management.
- Oversee durable medical equipment related to the prevention and management of wounds.
- Develop and implement wound care protocols and procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive wound care services.
- Provide education and training to nursing center staff on wound care best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate wound care outcomes to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
- National accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or commitment to complete within 1 year of hire.
- Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team.
- Experience in team building and demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management.
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey process.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, PowerPoint skills.
- Competitive salary range: $81,120 - $83,200 per year.
