Role Objectives

  • Oversee construction sites for both new builds and renovation initiatives, ensuring that all activities align with project aims and objectives.
  • Guide general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers during groundwork to uphold quality benchmarks.
  • Act as a liaison among engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and oversee cost estimates, budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Identify, address, and monitor recurring construction challenges.
  • Comply with legal standards, building regulations, and safety codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Oversight: Identify and evaluate potential vendors for maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards and negotiating contracts.
  • Technician Coordination: Collaborate closely with technicians to schedule and supervise maintenance tasks, ensuring timely execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with onsite team members to facilitate smooth maintenance operations.
  • Cost Analysis: Compare vendor pricing to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, vendor communications, and related expenses, generating regular reports for review.
  • Property Management Liaison: Serve as the primary contact between the maintenance team and property management, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Prompt Response: Address maintenance requests and issues swiftly to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialists; hire and coordinate schedules for subcontractors and laborers.
  • Conduct regular site visits during construction phases, including bid walks, preconstruction assessments, progress visits, and final inspections.
  • Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring a safe work environment and proper functioning of tools and equipment.
  • Update and maintain Statements of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents, fulfilling contract obligations by building relationships with reliable contractors and vendors.
  • Respond effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project interruptions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in managing new construction and renovation projects.
  • Familiarity with construction techniques and technologies, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • Understanding of building code requirements and scheduling methodologies.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a focus on quality.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
