About the Role

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a skilled Patient Services Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient assessment visits, including Oasis visits, to ensure timely scheduling and completion.
  • Assign and schedule clinicians in the most efficient geography, maximizing clinician efficiency and optimizing clinician capacity.
  • Collaborate with field clinicians to ensure all patient visits are scheduled and completed as ordered and within the care center.
  • Manage calls from patients and field staff related to scheduling issues.
  • Refer clinical and performance-related issues to the clinical manager.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients, communicating and ensuring the team follows up as necessary.
  • Support the clinical manager and work collaboratively to ensure timely communication with patients, clinicians, referral sources, business development team, and other office personnel.
  • Run applicable reports and respond to workflow, taking appropriate actions.
  • Assist with internal or external transfer of patients between care centers and/or hospice services.
  • Maintain supply closets with routine supplies, ensuring supplies are within expiration dates and packaged appropriately, and serve as liaison with the field for patient supply needs.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred: One year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment or one year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment.
