Job Title: Direct Support Professional 2

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to join our team in Monterey Park, CA. As a Direct Support Professional 2, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional 2 will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to advocacy, empowerment, and community integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their quality of life is enhanced.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and meal preparation.
  • Provide transportation for clients, ensuring their safe and timely arrival at appointments and activities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans, promoting client-centered care.
  • Document client progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements:
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
