The candidate must possess a Kentucky Respiratory Care "Student" Practitioner Limited License upon hiring.

Physical Requirements: This role involves activities such as walking, sitting, lifting, pulling, and pushing as determined by departmental needs.

Job Overview: The Respiratory Technician II will have successfully completed the initial two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program and will hold a student license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.

This position primarily involves direct patient care, focusing on therapies and patient care activities permitted under the scope of student licensure as defined by the KBRC.

Occasionally, the technician may be tasked with performing EKGs in the emergency department or assisting with equipment requirements for the respiratory services department.

The role also includes responsibilities for equipment cleaning, reprocessing, and managing cylinder storage rounds as necessary during shifts.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: The ideal candidate will possess knowledge consistent with that of a respiratory therapy student who has completed two semesters of an accredited program.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory duties.
