Advanced Respiratory Care Technician

The successful candidate must possess a Kentucky Respiratory Care "Student" Practitioner Limited License upon hiring. Physical demands include walking, sitting, lifting, pulling, and pushing as necessary. Shift assignments will be determined based on departmental requirements.
Position Overview
The Clinical Respiratory Technician II will have successfully completed the initial two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy curriculum and will hold a student license issued by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
This role primarily involves providing direct patient care, focusing on therapies and activities permissible under the scope of student licensure as defined by the KBRC.
Occasionally, the technician may be tasked with performing EKGs in the emergency department or assisting with equipment needs within the respiratory services division.
Additionally, responsibilities will include supporting the cleaning and reprocessing of equipment, as well as managing cylinder storage rounds as required during shifts.
Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge and skills should align with those of a respiratory therapy student who has completed two semesters of an accredited program.
Supervisory Duties
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
