Atrius Health, a leading healthcare organization, seeks a skilled Clinical Support Assistant to join its team. As a key member of our clinical department, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone coverage and outreach calls to patients, scheduling appointments and managing the check-out process.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, strengthening the patient-clinician relationship and improving clinical operations through coordination of contact between team clinicians, patients, and external referrals.
  • Manage scheduling, including booking appointments, relaying messages, and running reports from the automated appointment confirmation system.
  • Complete paperwork to obtain necessary information for upcoming appointments and make outreach calls to patients regarding referrals, scheduling, and authorization numbers.
  • Monitor waiting rooms, verify patient check-ins, and update patient medical information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Participate in care improvement activities, such as Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Value Stream Analyses (VSAs), and Managing of Daily Improvements (MDIs).

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate, with certification in medical office administration preferred.
  • One year of experience in a clinical or customer service setting, with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
