Senior Construction Materials Field Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Construction Materials Field Technician to join our team at ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities- Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
- Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance.
- Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections; engage in drafting and other administrative duties as required.
- Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers; keep supervisor and project teams informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requested.
- Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.

Requirements- 2+ years of related experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have and be willing to maintain current basic level certifications and be willing to obtain an additional 2 advanced certifications.
- OSHA 10 is a plus.
- Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
- Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
- Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
- Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
- Strong math skills with the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
