WasteConnections is currently seeking a Training Manager to become a vital part of our team.

The Training Manager will collaborate closely with the District Manager and Operations Manager to develop both immediate and future objectives and strategies for our waste management operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support the assignment and oversight of work teams utilizing solid waste collection machinery.
2. Assist in managing the personnel requirements of the District, including hiring, mentoring, managing performance, and conducting employee evaluations. Collaborate on decisions regarding terminations, compensation, and promotions.
3. Work alongside local government and municipal agencies to ensure our services meet quality standards and identify areas for enhancement. Aid in the renewal and negotiation of contracts.
4. Implement necessary safety measures to comply with Company, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
5. Help in creating and executing procedures that allow personnel to operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
6. Formulate short-term and long-term objectives and action plans in partnership with the Operations Manager and District Manager.
7. Gain knowledge of Profit & Loss and capital responsibilities for each site. Participate in regular financial reviews to ensure budget adherence; develop and implement strategies for optimal equipment use, maintenance, and cost management.
8. Share responsibility for compliance with relevant environmental laws and regulations.
9. Assist in addressing customer feedback regarding collection services.
10. Participate in facility upkeep, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations.
11. Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a dynamic, people-oriented environment.
2. Preferred college degree.
3. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL within 90 days.
4. Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
5. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel/Word, with the ability to learn specialized company software.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Capability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
8. Willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities based on performance.
