Training Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Training Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our field training programs, including the Management-in-Training (MIT) program. This role involves assessing training needs, developing programs, coordinating training activities, and ensuring the effectiveness of training initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for hourly associates and management trainees, including the MIT program
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and employees
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee participation in external training programs
• Create, update, and organize educational materials such as manuals, multimedia visual aids, and e-learning content
Program Management:
• Map out annual training plans for various departments including management, HR, and customer support
• Coordinate and assign mandatory training across the organization
• Conduct organization-wide training needs assessments and identify skill or knowledge gaps
• Market available training opportunities to employees and provide necessary information
• Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
Training Delivery and Facilitation:
• Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions, including orientation, onboarding, and skills training
• Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
• Utilize diverse training methods (e.g., simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training) tailored to different learning styles
• Present training and development programs using various formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations and videos
• Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
• Create and administer post-training evaluations, tests, and assessments to measure instructional effectiveness and determine the impact on employee performance and KPIs
• Gather feedback from trainers and trainees and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into future training programs
• Maintain records of training activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements. Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Training, Human Resources, Education, or a related field preferred
• At least two years of experience in training and development, preferably in a corporate setting
• Proven experience managing comprehensive training programs and developing training materials
• Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
