Responsibilities

  • Manage and review patient records to ensure clinical appropriateness and maximize effectiveness of care
  • Collaborate with payors, business office, and treatment team to provide information and feedback for optimum patient care and reimbursement
  • Review and obtain authorization for services through all levels of care and aftercare review
  • Communicate effectively with external review organizations and other entities

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, mental health, or a related field or RN with prior Utilization Management and Behavioral Health experience
  • A minimum of one year of Utilization Management experience or four years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting
  • Licensure: RN, LCSW, MFT, MSW degree, LVN/LPT or applicable license

Additional Requirements

  • Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) within the first 30 days of employment
  • Pay Transparency: UHS and all subsidiaries comply with applicable state or local laws or regulations requiring wage or salary range information
