Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager Utility Design Reviewer to join our team. As a key member of our Utility Design Review team, you will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating utility designs to ensure compliance with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review utility relocation design plans and right-of-way maps to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Recommend approvals on utility determination packages submitted by the utility relocation staff.
  • Conduct quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assess utility-preferred relocation alternatives and provide analysis of scope, right-of-way, schedule, and cost impacts.
  • Develop and propose justifications for utility relocations and right-of-way exchanges.
  • Review right-of-way acquisition maps and identify any incorrectly labeled easements.
  • Provide technical assistance on utility issues to ensure consistent interpretation and application of Master Agreements, policies, and utility standards.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Law (or equivalent experience).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the land services/right-of-way field.
  • Knowledge of land rights as they relate to utility facilities.
  • Experience reviewing utility designs to ensure compliance with utility land rights and design standards.
  • Knowledge of title research and ability to investigate records, documents, and reports to ascertain land rights history and status.
  • Knowledge of Caltrans Utility Relocation Manual, Federal Statutes, and California State Statutes.
