Application Support Analyst

Location: Cleveland, OH

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Application Support Analyst plays a crucial role in providing second-level assistance for the business applications utilized by the Accounting Department. This position works in close collaboration with the Application Support Manager to ensure the effective operation of systems within the business unit and offers support to end-users regarding daily operations, system usage, and the development and upkeep of reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and sustain line-of-business applications employed by the Accounting Department, including Dynamics Great Plains, Profit Power, and other essential software systems.
  • Oversee software updates and patches for business applications, which includes testing, distribution of updates, preparation of release notes, training materials, and communication regarding rollouts to business and IT teams.
  • Engage with third-party vendors, resources, and other IT departments to support projects and operational needs related to business systems.
  • Accountable for resolving all second-level support inquiries.
  • Develop and manage SSRS reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline, or 3-5 years of relevant experience; experience in accounting or real estate is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years in second-level software support.
  • Proficiency in creating SSRS and PowerBI reports.
  • Familiarity with SSAS data cubes.
  • Experience with SSIS packages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of effectively interacting with non-technical business leaders and teams as needed.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure while demonstrating focus and poise.
  • Strong prioritization and project management capabilities.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
