Lead Configuration Management Analyst

Position Overview:
As a Lead Configuration Management Analyst, you will be pivotal in overseeing configuration control throughout the system's lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include reviewing design release documents to ensure they are complete, properly approved, and updated to reflect accurate configuration modifications. You will prepare essential documentation to facilitate the transition of configuration control across various contract vehicles and will review contracts while drafting configuration plans that meet all specification requirements. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the database and may oversee contract data submissions and status for smaller projects. The expected compensation for this role ranges from $125,000 to $140,000, depending on your job-related skills, experience, and educational background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and administer configuration management plans and procedures effectively.
- Receive, log, and maintain program deliverables across multiple programs while coordinating internal review and approval processes.
- Identify and uphold the configuration of requirements, design, and other technical/process documentation.
- Generate or update program Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as necessary.
- Analyze engineering change proposals to ensure consistency with system requirements.
- Support the Quality Assurance Manager in conducting configuration item/system operational baseline change control tracking and configuration auditing.
- Review, track, and report on all deliveries, including contracts and drafts of configuration plans to meet all specification requirements.
- Ensure that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into baseline configuration items.
- Guarantee that all program staff members adhere to the most current and approved processes, procedures, and work templates.
- Provide support to technical management staff in other program areas as required.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Active secret clearance; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management and/or Systems Engineering activities, ideally within Government Space programs. Experience with Configuration Control Boards (CCB) is highly desirable.
Journeyman level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with an electronic Government-authorized information management system, collaboration portal, or integrated data environment (IDE).
Clearance Requirements:
Candidates selected for this position will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to SECRET information. Eligibility for TOP SECRET clearance is preferred. EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled.
