Job Title: Sr. Configuration Management Analyst

Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about creating innovative solutions for complex problems.

As a Sr. Configuration Management Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of product design changes and their impact on the overall system. Your duties will include reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data created from internal projects or supplied by the customer.

You will work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines. Your expertise will be essential in providing project support in creating/reviewing contents of CDRL's, SDRL's, item records, change records, and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.
  • Develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.
  • Provide project support in creating/reviewing contents of CDRL's, SDRL's, item records, change records, and other items in a PLM system.
  • Execute Configuration and Data Management processes and controls, ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Write and maintain documents such as CM corporate policies, Configuration Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, program Access Control lists, desktop instructions, CM work instructions, and audit forms.
  • Oversee CM team members regarding solution design, process, and/or approaches.

Requirements:

  • Education: A 4-year degree in a relevant field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of technical domains and develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software, and other CM practices as detailed in SAE EIA-649 (series and associated handbooks), ASME Y14 (series), ISO 9001, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, DODM series, DODI, etc.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge and a minimum of five (5) years' experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO, Solidworks, etc.
  • Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro, etc.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office products (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio experience is a plus).
  • Candidate must be proficient in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software.
  • Candidate must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, customer representatives, and external contacts.
  • Candidate must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NDIA CDM, CMII, or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification.
