About the Role

The Data Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our new data platform, which supports various business segments. This position will work in tandem with the Data Engineering team to understand the platform's architecture and contribute to its continuous improvement by rigorously testing data integrity, workflows, and system resilience.

The Impact

As a Data Quality Engineer at S&P Global, you will be responsible for developing and executing test cases to verify the functionality and performance of software applications, with a specific focus on data testing. You will conduct thorough data testing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data standards. You will also identify, document, and track software defects and data issues, and work closely with developers to resolve them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience in Data Testing.
  • Proven experience as a Software Tester, with a strong emphasis on data testing.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes, specifically related to data testing.
  • Proficient in SQL and data querying.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
