At UT Health San Antonio, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Associate to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced outpatient care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take vital signs, give injections, and perform simple diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Collect specimens, draw blood, and maintain examination rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Support the documentation of patient records as dictated by the physician or provider.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as processing labs and delivering results.
  • Participate in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
  • CPR certification is required, and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
