Job Summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with clinical and laboratory procedures, maintaining equipment and providing direct patient care.
  • Administer common medications according to unit guidelines and providers' orders.
  • Support the documentation of patients as dictated by the physician or provider.
  • Manage patient appointments, triage calls, and facilitate patient needs.
  • Communicate patient information to physicians in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Three years of directly-related experience as a Medical Assistant required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
