Job Summary:

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant Associate to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our outpatient care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take vital signs, give injections, and perform simple diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Collect specimens, draw blood, and maintain examination rooms at a high level of cleanliness.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including documentation of patient records and communication with healthcare providers.
  • Support patient flow and prepare patients for examination as needed.
  • Perform minor exam procedures, such as drawing blood and giving injections.
  • Process labs and deliver results to patients as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • CPR certification required; Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Knowledge of EPIC software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
