This role is contingent upon successful contract award and funding. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is looking for Systems Engineers to join our team in Huntsville, AL, within the Command and Control, Communication and Computer Missile Defense (C4MD) Business Unit to support our initiatives.

This position may assign candidates to various teams within C4MD (programs such as IBCS, NAREW, IFC, FAAD C2, and/or IRADs).


As a Systems Engineer, you will undertake technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for comprehensive systems.

Conduct analyses at all levels of total system products, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

Ensure the logical and systematic transformation of customer or product requirements into complete systems solutions that consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

Systems Engineer:
requires 2 years with Bachelor of Science; 0 Years with Masters Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering Experience with Cameo or MagicDraw Proven ability to comprehend/develop/decompose System Architecture and System Requirements (from System Specifications high-level requirements to the lowest level) in a model-based environment Proven ability to understand software systems interface documentation, interconnect diagrams, military standard Active Secret clearance to start

C2 with understanding of weapons, sensors, distributed computing and these systems' impact on a command-and-control system's architecture, requirements, and interfaces for communications between these systems Systems Engineering Experience in an Agile environment Experience with Requirements Impact Assessments, Change Requests, and Engineering Change ProposalsExperience with JiraLink-16 Experience Familiarity with weapon systems and sensors such as: PATRIOT, Sentinel, G/ATOR, etc

Salary Range:
$83,000 - $124,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
