Ambulatory Practice Coordinator I

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ambulatory Practice Coordinator I to join our team at South Shore Health. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with one holiday every two years.
Key Responsibilities- Support the administrative duties for the practice, including scheduling, confirming appointments, and patient interaction.
- Organize patient appointment charts and deliver medical records to Health Information Management (HIM) at the end of the day.
- Communicate with outside physicians and offices to facilitate emergent requests and evaluate patient information.
- Assist patients with transportation issues and provide customer service to colleagues.
- Ensure authorization is received from prescribing physicians for anti-coag patients and maintain records of intrathecal pump patients.
- Order office supplies and communicate with billing coders to resolve coding issues.
- Prepare and distribute reports, including end-of-day paperwork and monthly statistics.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office product suite and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn and utilize new technology and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
