The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff by implementing preventative maintenance for mechanical equipment, working with the Long-Term Mutual Aid Program, and conducting regular fire drills and emergency management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and maintain scheduling of maintenance technicians, housekeeping, and laundry staff.
  • Establish and track work order completion to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Conduct regular fire drills and emergency management tasks to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of facilities capital assets and inventory.
  • Complete daily preventative maintenance logs to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless room turnovers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar position in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations effectively and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • General knowledge of physical plant operations and first aid principles.
  • Valid Class D driver's license.
