Job Summary

As a key member of the Campbell Soup Company team, the Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the entire Operations department in a 24/7 operation that produces premium, fresh-baked food products. This role requires a strong leader who can direct the work activities of salaried employees, deliver bottom-line business results, and drive attainment of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish production standards, develop budget and cost controls, and subscribe to product quality, food safety, and conformance to specification programs for all products manufactured and packaged by the Operations Department.
  • Develop direct reports by providing guidance, coaching, and assignments/projects that result in high employee engagement, high-performing teams, and a high-performing organization.
  • Provide guidance to the development of manufacturing process plans for products, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Serve as a key team member in identifying waste reduction/cost savings opportunities, maintaining high levels of efficient production, and exceeding food safety and product quality standards.
  • Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree
  • 10 years' experience working at a CPG company
  • Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business or technical field, experience working in food manufacturing, bakery/baked goods, and five years in middle to senior-level management role at a plant level.
Working Conditions

The working environment includes both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes occurs in operating areas of the plant.

Compensation and Benefits

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $85,900-$140,800. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
