Controller Vice President

Astrana Health is seeking a highly motivated Controller and Vice President to join our team. This role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to drive the company's financial strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a team of 25+ individuals and work cross-functionally across departments to drive financial performance and growth.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements through effective management of accounts, general ledger, and reporting systems.
- Manage the monthly and quarterly close process for all entities, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and financial fluctuations.
- Maintain Quarterly IBNR schedules and prepare ad hoc analysis of claims spend by vendor and specialty.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and executive summaries for executive management review.
- Ensure all regulatory filings are completed timely and accurately.
- Support and manage technical accounting research and analysis, setting standards and initiatives as appropriate for accounting, reporting, and operations.
- Work with external auditors and provide necessary information for audits.
- Identify and address issues impacting accounting close and consolidation process.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, individual fund restrictions, industry best practices, and other considerations to foster and maintain a high level of trust in the Accounting Department.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Master's degree or CPA Certification is a plus.
- 8+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within a growing healthcare company.
- Extensive knowledge and application of GAAP.
- Knowledge of SOX404 is a preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $180,000 - $220,000.
