Commercial Banking Relationship Manager

Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage commercial banking relationships to maximize profitability for the bank while maintaining acceptable risk.
- Ensure each relationship is profitable and represents appropriate risk.
- Act as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and support to junior staff regarding customer questions and issues.
- Mentor junior staff and help manage workflow within the team.
- Assess borrower credit-worthiness in accordance with credit policy.
- Present loan opportunities to the appropriate credit approvers.
- Manage enterprise risk for products and services.
- Maintain expert knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
- Consistently pursue an active calling effort to maintain an extensive pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial lending as a credit analyst, underwriting specialist, or portfolio manager.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a relationship manager.
- Expert understanding of treasury management services and other banking products.
- Expert accounting and finance knowledge.
- Exceptional technical skills.
- Expert knowledge of laws and regulations related to commercial lending.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate on behalf of the bank and borrower while balancing risk and shareholder value.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as analytic and problem-solving skills.
