Position Overview

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is in search of an Associate Industrial Security Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role is essential in supporting Internal Security Controls by conducting compliance assessments and self-inspections to ensure adherence to governmental and corporate regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Internal Security Controls through compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to guarantee alignment with government and company standards.
  • Identify security deficiencies and propose corrective measures.
  • Assist in Administrative Inquiries by gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and conducting interviews related to personnel and processes to evaluate compliance levels.
  • Contribute to Communication Security (COMSEC) responsibilities, including inventory management, distribution, and destruction protocols.
  • Help safeguard government, intellectual, third-party, and corporate information from unauthorized access.
  • Develop and manage an Operational Security program, including security education and physical controls to ensure compliance with regulations on less complex programs.
  • Facilitate Personnel Security processes to aid in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses.
  • Assist in creating and delivering security awareness training programs to educate and motivate personnel in protecting assets and information.
  • Participate in Physical Security duties within Boeing facilities, including completing facility checklists and reviewing facility designs for classified areas.
  • Support subcontractor management to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Work Environment:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite, requiring the selected candidate to work at the designated location.

Security Clearance Requirements:

An active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is required for this position. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, and prior active clearance within the last 24 months is considered valid.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial security.
  • Familiarity with Special Access Programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in NISP, SAP, or SCI domains.
  • Experience with the National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM).
  • Knowledge of DoDM Manuals.

Education and Experience:

Typically, a Bachelor’s degree combined with 3 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation and Travel:

No relocation assistance is available for this position. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
